Tracy Starnes, FNP-BC

Tracy Starnes, FNP-BCTracy Starnes is a registered nurse and board certified family nurse practitioner who joined the practice in April 2008 after completing her Masters in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington. Prior to coming to Keller Family Medical Center, Tracy spent 10 years of her career as an emergency room nurse employed by Baylor Healthcare System in the DFW area and Northwest Texas Healthcare System in Amarillo. Tracy's experiences in the emergency department helped her to gain a solid base for the challenges in primary care.

Providing education and guidance to patients and families and realizing that patients need ample office visit time to address their concerns and questions is an integral part of her daily practice.

Prior to her career in nursing, Tracy was an exercise physiologist in physical therapy and cardiac rehabilitation programs with All Saints Hospital in Fort Worth. Ms. Starnes earned her BSN from West Texas A&M University and a BA in Kinesiology from the University of Texas at Austin. The exercise background has influenced her personal interest in promoting healthy lifestyles and providing nutrition education. She works with patients of all ages on weight concerns and empowers families to eat right and live happy, productive lives. Tracy is a big advocate of disease prevention!

Away from the office, Tracy loves spending time with her husband, two children (Blake, 12 & Brynn, 5), and pet cairn terrier, Zoey. Juggling work, home life, and the kids busy schedules can be a challenge, but worth every minute of it! Tracy also enjoys working out, reading, outdoor activities, and attending her local church when not attending Texas Longhorn football games in Austin. Hook em!
